Reading Kant's Critique of the Power of Judgment

We will discuss the sections §§ 55-61 (up to p. 234 trans. Guyer/Matthews), thus reading just up to the point where Kant has introduced the second main topic of the Critique, the teleology of nature.

Kant's Critique of the Power of Judgment

Next meeting Wednesday 25 January, 5pm by zoom

We agreed to read up to the end of section 54 (up to page 212 in the translation by Guyer and Matthews) for our first meeting in the new year. 

This yields a provisional schedule of further meetings as follows:

    8 February  
    22 February  
    8 March
    22 March, when we need to decide on how to meet over the Easter period. 



 

 

Our final meeting this Semester will take place on Wednesday 21 Dec, at 5pm by zoom. 

We will be discussing §§30-44 (up to p. 185 in the trans. by Guyer) of The Critique of Power Judgment.

 

 Meeting 7 December 

We will be discussing §§26-29 up to the end of the "General remark", so up to the end of p. 159 in the Guyer translation.
